USA Cadet A team (Ethan Jin and Jonathan Ou) made their way up beating every teams before lost to Hong Kong Cadet team (top seed). So USA Cadet A team got silver medal. This is one of the best result in the ITTF sectioned internaional tournaments. Congratulations to Coach Yang and Ethan Jin.<br>

The leading pairings in the Junior Boys’ Team event at the Double Fish
Canadian Junior and Cadet Open, in the magnificently located city of
Vancouver, all emerged successful on the opening day of play, Thursday
18th August 2011.<br><br>However, in the Cadet Boys’ Team event, there was one upset.<br><br>Sweden,
the no.2 seeds, represented by Elias Ranefeur and Alfred Lindblad
suffered defeat at hands of the fourth seeded outfit of Ethan Jin and
Jonathan Ou from the United States of America.<br><br>
The Americans posted a three-nil win and proceeded to top the group
by recording a similar victory over the Canadian ‘C’ Team comprising
Mike Yue and Michael Luo; the Swedes also overcame the Canadians to
secure second place in the group.<br><br><font color="#800000"><b>Seeds Prevail</b></font><br>Otherwise matters went as per the pecking order.<br><br>In
the Cadet Boys’ Team event, the top seeded Hong Kong partnership of
Hung Ka Tak and Lee Yat Hin overcame the Canadian ‘B’ Team outfit,
comprising Derek Chan and Jeremy Hazin, before defeating the Canada ‘B’
partnership of Lucas Wang and Marko Medjugorac.<br><br>Both contests were determined by the margin of three matches to nil.<br><br><font color="#800000"><b>Similar</b></font><br>Similarly,
Canada ‘A’ with Max Xia and Klement Yeung on duty offered little mercy
to their adversaries in the Cadet Boys’ Team event.<br><br>Seeded no.3,
they overcame the partnership of Edward Guo and Jack Chang representing
Canada ‘E’, before defeating the pairing of Sweden’s Hannes Iwarsson
and America’s Gong Tong Tong. <br><br><font color="#800000"><b>Impressive Effort</b></font><br>Two
wins, they concluded their itinerary of matches with success against
the United States ‘B’ Team of Shivansh Kumar and Krishnateja Awari.<br><br>It
was an impressive performance by the Canadians with only one individual
match being surrendered; the one to go astray came in the contest
against the United States/Sweden team with Gong Tong Tong accounting
for Klement Young.<br><br><font color="#800000"><b>No Stopping Leading Teams</b></font><br>Meanwhile, in the Junior Boys’ Team event, there was no stopping the leading partnerships.<br><br>Chinese
Taipei’s Lai Yi-Yao and Lee Chun-Lin, the top seeds, recorded
comfortable three-nil victories against the Canadian ‘C’ Team of
Matthieu Theriault and Vincent Rousseau-Emond, before concluding their
first day programme with success in opposition to Andrew Chen and Anand
Engineer who formed the United States ‘B’ Team.<br><br><font color="#800000"><b>Likewise Vein</b></font><br>In
a similar vein, the second seeded Canadian ‘A’ Team of Pierre-Luc
Theriault and Louis Wong experienced few problems and it was the same
for the third seeded outfit of Charles Deng and Grant Li, representing
the United States of America ‘A’ Team.<br><br>Three-nil wins were the end result in every fixture.<br><br><font color="#800000"><b>Victories</b></font><br>The
Canadians accounted for the United States ‘C’ Team of Nathan Hsu and
John Hsu before overcoming the Swedish outfit of Carl Akerlind and
Jonas Stoner; whilst the Americans defeated the Canadian ‘B’ Team of
Adrian Lee and Jeremy Lau followed by success against the Canadian ‘D’
outfit of Evans Chiu and Lester Lee.<br><br>
