STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math/Music(we had to add that on!)  The main idea is to combine these subjects that are usually taught separately, and use them to assist in solving real-world problems. Even the concepts of music-notes, chords, key signature-are built upon strong mathematical principles, and getting into the science behind sound waves and frequencies is fascinating! STEM education is project-based and many lessons involve building models and simulating situations. The whole goal is to help the student understand the connections to the real world.

STEM是科学，技术，工程和数学／音乐的缩写。这些代表STEM教育的四个不同的区域。其主要思想是结合这些通常是在学校分开教的科目，并用它们来帮助解决现实中的问题。

We will be putting on a sweet and charming musical adaption of the famous Hans Christian Andersen story, Hansel and Gretel. The students will need to memorize scripts and songs, sing and play instruments, and make their own costumes and background scenery. We will also be working on our acting skills, projecting our voices, and gaining confidence to perform on stage.
